The Russell Blunt East Coast Invitational (Boys Results)

As the track season comes to an end with the AAU Junior Olympics in Norfolk, VA, and the USATF Junior Olympic Championships in Sacramento, CA upon us; the Durham Striders hosted the Russell Blunt East Coast Invitational at Duke University this past weekend. This annual event billed as the "Elite Of The East" truly was that as you had some of the most highly rated athletes in youth track & field along the Eastern Seaboard from New Jersey to South Carolina, as well as Bermuda. I always found this event as a true barometer of where your athletes, and your team stood as they were set to do battle at there respective Junior Olympic venues in the coming weeks. In the young men's division you had Jarrett Samuels of Track Eastern ranked 1st in the country in the Long Jump and 14th in the 400M win those respective events with a time of 48.24, and a jump of 24'11".
